Recovery Disk Download?

Is there somewhere I can download the recovery disk for a compaq presario 5000 series?

No...manufacturers don't make them available for download.

They should have one available, for a small fee (usually to cover shipping and handling).

My experience with HP is that they drop this ASAP. I now have 3 good HP computers, but will have to buy new operating systems for them. I've tried all their hoops to contact them and just get into a circular contact loop.

At least you can download drivers...but HP has been the most frustrating PC computing experience ever. I'll stick to building my own systems.
