Question Strange colours

Hi just registered believe you could help me with what it seems to be a video card/drinver problem.
just uprgaded from w98se to wxppro, after gathering new drivers from nvidia(not certified-continue anyway)
problem is while playing movie with power DVD last version(4.1)the colours turned little different meaning that they got little shadowish sth like they lost their brightness .think that happened while running the movie on Fast forward x8
getting out from Power dvd i opened the properties trying to configure what happened to the adapter or display features(nothing wierd all seemed the same)during this the screen started to flicker between the normal colours i had before and the new i described before.
restarting the PC i noticed that after detecting the video card in the second screen that pops up the icon Award winning etc. turned from blue to gray givin me the feeling that i didnt had any colour at all.
Entering winxp thought the colour was on again in the new style(the best description i have is shadowish)
i removed the drivers put them on again - problem remains
sorry for the long story i'm looking for some help thanx

This might be a monitor problem, but not likely. Did you accidentally push one of the buttons on your monitor? Some monitors have video options for games, standard, and movies or something like that. One of those produces a shadowy look. You might want to play with your monitor before you dig into this too much.

good luck
