Hello...
Ive had a Gainward GeForce 4600ti for bout 2 weeks or so and finally Ive got it working good except for when I start games or when im in a game menu and start the from there...my monitor clicks like 3 to 5 times sometimes but not all the time (normally I used to get only one click ) ...seems to do this more with newer det's right now im using the 28.32's and I seem to like the image quality best from them .Does anyone know what my monitor is doing when it is clicking ? And how can I stop it for hanging up and clicking alot ? thx ------------------ GAINWARD G4 4600TI<I LOVE IT ,40 gig WD HD=ATA100,A7V-266-E mobo Bios 1007.,AMD 1800+@15.3,Gravis Exterminator Game Pad,512MB DDR Ram,IBM 22" monitor,Dynatron HSF,Antec 830 Case w\5 fans, onboard sound,Cable Modem,Windows XP PRO.,Soho Ethernet card,HP 9110 CD Writer,Mitsumi CD rom<<Originally from hp system

The First place I would look is the Monitor settings in the Video card options
is the correct monitor listed? If possible down load the monitor INF file from the manufacturer This will ensure your card is Not using the wrong Modes for your monitor . The single Click is the Monitor changing Modes The Multiple clicks could be the monitor is having a problem with the modes the Video card is attempting to set and dropping back to the previous mode. When it does it should be communicating with the video card and resetting . The card should attempt to set/use a new mode I should also Note. You need to keep your settings that you control in programs and the like To within the Monitors limits [This message has been edited by Rick (edited 04-07-2002).] |

Sounds to me like your monitor is choking on the settings you have set up for the game. Does it do it for all games or one in particular? Is the refresh rate set to high? You can always try the new driver even though windows tells you its older. If it doesnt fix the problem you can always change them back.

'Bout the only thing left to do is back up and try some older Detenator Drivers. Curious as to which driver's came with the G4? Need something that is compatable w/XP Pro. ------------------ ....How long is a minute... depends on which side of the Bathroom door you're on. ...... ..........
