Post Antique Monitor

Hello - I have an old monitor with a "D"connector (plug) but it's 9-pin. For my computer I need the usual 15-pin. Do you know how I can adapt it for use?
The monitor is a Mitsubishi XC-1404CB.
Thanx for any tips!
Bob (in UK)

How old is the monitor? If it's an old CGA, it won't work with just an adapter, you'll need a CGA card and have to deal with almost no colors...

You know, on the plus side, having a fuctional monitor around for 16 years is certainly quite a feat of accounting management! Considering that several generations of monitor technologies have come and gone in that time, and the fact that the average monitor lasts at most 5 years in the usual "upgrade cycle", I don't think it would be too compulsive of you to buy a new monitor now .

In fact, I think you should point this out to your employer and lobby for a promotion and/or pay raise! Anyone who can save money that aggressively should be commended!

OK on that Saphalline - but its not for work! I just like collecting some of the old gear and try to get it working. Cost me a pound which is a couple of bucks to you so I shouldnt complain too much
Cheers!
