Hi guys. I have a bit of a problem that I hope you can help me with.
Every time I open a window in desktop, the size of the monitor would increase just slightly. It's noticeable if I observe the edges of the screen. But if I close the window, the size would return to normal. It's not a big problem but it is annoying. My monitor is a ViewSonic E7 17 inch with nVidia GeForce3 200 Ti video card and Windows 98. Thanks for the help! |

Hello ijiaw,
Welcome to Forums!Hmmmm....my first question would be where do I get one of those monitors? Would you give it another go with explaining what is actually happening? Is it your active window that is strangely behaving when you click on the maximize button? ------------------ May all your dealings in life be win/win! Actually, it is the screen itself that increases slighty in size (resolution?) whenever I open an active window. It comes back to normal size if I closed all active windows.
I have tried different resolutions and even borrowed a monitor from a friend (although it is the same brand but 15 inch) but nothing so far seems to fix it. |

Btw, the change in the screen size looks more like an optical effect rather than a real change in resolution. I hope that helps a bit more in describing my problem.
