Question remove CMOS boot password

Does somebody know how to remove boot password on FujitsuSiemens Liteline laptop without damaging my system? What happens when CMOS is cleared?

Thanx Heimdal

There should be a jumper on the mainboard that resets the settings, including password...in order to do it, you'll need to get a service manual for the laptop (the owner's manual probably won't help) in order to dismantle it enough to get to the jumper...on some systems it's easier than others...

There may be another way to do it...contact the manufacturer or their tech support, they may be able to help you...when I've done it, it didn't do anything really (other than reset all the bios options to factory default) except get rid of the passowrd...
