Post Lap Top

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 460CDX
A drink was spilled on this keyboard and it damaged the keyboard plus a chip on the motherboard. I have taken the computer apart cleaned it all up andnow when I turn the computer on the following message appears.
BAd Check som
****CMOS****
check system and press F1
I do not have a keyboard to press the F1. I have tried using a regular keyboard and plugged it into the back of the computer but the lights flash on for a second and than nothing. I need some help in telling me what I can do to get into the BIOS or do you think it is all kaput. I hate to buy a new keyboard and than find out the computer is no good.
Hope someone can help me. thanks
