Post 460CDX Satellite Pro

Is their any other technicians other than the maker of that lap top can repair parts on mother board.
I need a new connection on my mother board for the monitor. So do I have to send it back to the original factory or can I find alocal tech to replace the part. Also if the connection to the monitor works but color is off will this hurt the computer to use it this way?

Running it with the color off probably won't hurt, just a little annoying..I don't think much can be done about the motherboard connector, you'll probably have to have it replaced entirely. Few local shops are likely to be able to do it, check around and be ready to send it back to the manufacturer. If it's under warranty, definitely send it back...
