Question Netscape problems

I just got a computer yesterday and it seemed to be working just fine. This morning it is not. When I try to log on to the internet, it goes through all the motions and I can get into my email and from there I can go to the internet, however, as soon as I log on it brings up a window that says "Account setup Netscape" and the window is completely blank. I also tried to register with a site called "Monster.com" and when I enter all my information and press enter, an error comes up:

Java Script Error: http://my.monster.com/new.asp.line116:
form.Passwordx has no properties

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me. Especially the Netscape part. I cannot figure out why this is popping up. I really don't know what that means at all.

Thanks,

Dixie

There's a Dilbert cartoon where he asks Ratbert to dance on his keyboard to make bugs so he can fix them for $10 each. In the last frame, Dilbert says "You just authored a web browser". Truer words were never written.
Netscape Navigator is quite simply the buggiest piece of software I've ever used--all versions I have tried. IE is not much better.
I would try the same actions with IE as well as Netscape. If one works and the other doesn't, it's the browser.
When it comes to specific sites, it could be a problem with the site as well.
Otherwise, if it's a new PC they might have set it up wrong. Ask them?

Yeah, a question that is in the feild of my work. interent browser giving problems?

First thing, with netscape, if you go under start, programs, netscape, utilities, there should be an option that says user profile manager. I would try adding a new profile there, and then reset that one up with your info. See if this new profile will work.

Charles is right on the money about trying to run IE too, see what is does for you.

Next, try uninstalling and reinstalling Netscape if IE works too. Sometimes interent problems get in the registry, and if that is the case, all Interent appz will give problems. I have 3 web browsers on my main computer, but none of them work after I played in the registry... this is why I want windoze Me on it too.... it has restore feature while with windoze 98 I have to fix it manually or buy extra software, install it, and learn to use it. Now I have to back up everything (17 gigs worth) and repartion so I have system partition and file partition... I should have done that in the first place )

Anywayz, hope this helps, if doesn't give another hollar, I can maybe give another suggestion.
