Post Microsoft works porblems

Whenever I try and use a microsoft works task such as letters the program freezes up on me and gives me an error message of not enough resources available eventhough I still have 81% free space left and no programs running. Does anyone know whats wrong and how I can fix it? Please let me know. Thanks

First try a search of the MS Knowledge Database for the specific error message, or try uninstalling Works, from Add/Remove programs in Control Panel, and reinstalling it.

Paleo Pete, I had tried uninstalling and then reinstalling MS Works but that still didnt correct the problem. All it does now is lock up and wont let me click out of it. Any other suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks

Just realized you posted 81% free space. Drive space and resources are two different things. Free space is related to the hard drive. Resources means CPU and memory.

The problem could also be conventional memory, rather than RAM. How to Increase Conventional Memory

And are you sure the version of Works you're using is compatible with the OS? Earlier versions designed for Win3.11 won't work with 95 or later, mine won't even install...
