Help I need some help, I have an virus on my computer and
I am trying to install anti-virus software called McAfee. However since I already have a virus I need to use bootScan. In order to do this the document says that I must create a "Emergency disk". To do this it says that I should use an "unformatted floppy disk" How do I unformatted a standard formatted floppy disk? Do you think I can use the standard formatted floppy disk? Or does unformatted disk simply mean an empty disk? Please help? |

It's poor wording on their part. You can use any disk.
If the virus is a bad one and is interfering with your efforts to remove it, consider borrowing a friend's machine to create the boot disk. Just be careful not to do anything to his or her machine in the process. If that person has the same AV software as you, it makes things easier.Good luck. ------------------ Charles M. How do you know you have a virus if you have no virus protection installed?
