Angry ICQ/AIM not working

sheesh, it seems I'm having all kinds of troubles with my computers lately. This time, AIM and ICQ chat programs just suddenly stopped working this afternoon. They keep timing out on teh connection. I did not do ANYTHING at all, didn't delete files or change anything. I checked with my ISP and their network is fine. The AIM and ICQ networks are fine, and I even tried running both programs under NT4.0, as opposed to my WIN 98 and still cannot connect. Could something related to the TCP/IP dialup be the cause of the trouble? I wonder how they got corrupted?

any help is appreciated as always, thanks in advance

First thing I would try is wait a day or two, see if the problem continues. Sometimes remote server problems can cause things of that sort.

If it continues, I would uninstall and reinstall them.

Soon as I come up with all the answers...they change the questions!!
