Post NAV2001 Virus defin/Liveupdate problem-"Solution"

I had purchased NAV2001 about three months ago and last week, low and behold, a dialog box appeared, showing Virus Definitions had expired.
Finally was able to get a solution from Symantec. Apparently, if a Windows setting was not set correctly when NAV was installed this problem can occur.
You have to check these settings then uninstall and reinstall NAV2001
1. First, double click the clock in the System tray area of the Windows taskbar. The Date/Time properties dialog box appears.
2. Adjust the date and time as necessary and then click OK.
3. Open the Control Panel, and then double click Regional Settings.
4. Click the Date tab, and be sure that the "Short" date style is set to Month/Day/Year format. For example M/d/yyyy or MM/dd/yy Click OK
5. Uninstall NAV using the Add/Remove program applet in the Windows Control Panel.
6 Reinstall NAV2001
In my case the only thing that differed from the above was that WinMe wouldn't let me uninstall from Add/Remove. It kept prompting that the program had possibly been uninstalled and would I like title removed from Add/Remove. I went to Start, Programs and scrolled down to NAV, used the uninstaller here and everything went smooth. Reinstalled, and everythings back to normal. Virus defin is good for another year! Live update works fine.
Also, if you want to check you current virus defin. when NAV window is open click on Reports, Current list of Viruses then View reports. Current virus defin is shown on bottom of window.
