AOL DSL and a Router

Is anyone using AOL DSL service? Do you like it? Also, I would need a router. Does anyone know what makes one better than the other? They go from $60 to hundreds. I only need it to connect 2 computers so they can be online at the same time

I use a D-Link DI-704 gateway to network and share DSL with four computers. Works great and can be found for under $89. Also provides a hardware firewall.

Just found out that it might not work with AOL. Check this D-Link FAQ.

Hi Nooyawkah
Sorry, not familiar with AOL dsl service.
I have been using a Linksys router for a couple of years now, and it has worked great. It can usually be found somewhere in the $50-$70 price range.
However, I have a cable connection and I see in the post above from Reid, that the AOL service may present some problems!
Better check into that. DSL Reports is actually a good place to look into available services and answer related questions.
Good luck!

(Edit)Oops, sorry Reid , I see your "link" already has a link to dsl reports
