Network Neighborhood question

What are the normal default settings under network neighborhood/network configuration /tcp/ip dialing adapter/properties. There are seven tabs that for the most part have nothing on them which is ok but the DNS configuration tab and ip address, what should be checked? If anything.
This is in Win 98 and Win98SE.

It all depends on what your setup is (Basically in your case your ISP settings), there are really no defaults, as every network has different settings. You may be dialling into a WAN (such as the internet) or a LAN (Such as you company network).
I am slightly confused as to what you are asking?? If you need to know your IP address (if you are assigned one) or your DNS contact your ISP or Network Admin.
The settings that are in front of you under the TCP/IP properties are the Windows default, they wont neccessarily work.

If you have any other questions just shoot,

Hope this helps,

Olie
