BTopenworld broadband prob..helppppppp

My mate has a btopenworld broadband (512) for about 6 months no probs with zone alarm. He called me round because Nortons systems works was corrupted and Zone alarm wasn't working.

We had to unistall and re-install both porgs. Problem is Broadband is connecting at the right speed but the bytes recieved and sent are 250, real low, and cant access the net. Just the "page cant be displayed error"

We have tried re-installing Win ME, zone alarm, the bt broadband software, the driver for the usb modem.. to no avail....what is causing this problem....

any ideas the line is fine it's been checked, no one knows the answers!

If both Norton and ZA are broken, and transfer speeds are low, then it is possible that his machine is being used without his knowledge, in other words it is now a server.

Get an anti trojan scanner (TDS-3 has a trial period and good, so is Trojan Hunter...links in my sig).
