Angry Fujitsu Notebook problem (Spain)

I'd like to make this public because I'm getting desperate and I don't know what else to do.
On Octuber 2002 I bought A Fujitsu Siemens Notebook (Amilo D) from PC City in Madrid, Spain. In less than 5 months the computer started to malfunction, it was continously rebooting, I mean I was rebooting at least 6 times in 30 min.
I called Fujitsu's Help Desk in Madrid on march 13th since I still have the warranty (report #30301385), they picked it up the next day and take it to the technical center, they bring it back a week later (march 21) with the report that everything was perfect, they did some adjustments to the disipator (hope that's the translation). To my surprise the computer was still the same, even worse. I called to report it the same day (report#30302299) they pick it up the 25th and bring it back April 4. They changed the Motherboard and the disipator.
And guess what? It was still the same. I make another report the same day (report#30400493) they pick it up 4 days later and yet this is the day that I haven't receive it, I call almost everyday and all I get is that they are expecting a kit for the disipator, or something like that, from germany wich they order on april 9.
I think I have talked to everybody on the Fujitsu "Help" Desk and no one seems to have an idea of how they going to solve my problem.
I still have the warranty, but they won't give me my money back, I've been very patience with them even though I'm desperate.
I really don't know what to do but make this thing public, hoping that someone from Fujitsu reads this, or someone has an idea of what can I do.

Sorry to bring this up at this forum,

Susan

Welcome to

It is unlikely that posting here will have any impact on Fujitsu, but you might want to tell them you posted here anyway.

I suspect what you are calling the "disipator" is what we usually call a heatsink and it is for dissipating heat that would otherwise accumulate and cause exactly the kind of problems you describe. It is odd that Fujitsu doesn't have a handy fix for this since it is an issue they usually tackle first with laptops. Since most do not contain fans, the rely on heatsinks and venting to keep them cool. When you get it back, you may want to make sure you use it in an area that is well ventilated and you may even want to get one of those pads they make specifically to cool laptops down.

Good luck... we have all had customer service nightmares somewhere along the line...

Under EU regulations (sale of goods act or the Spanish equivelant) a product must be fit for the purpose for which is was sold. Yours obviously is not.

I would suggest you get in touch with the equivelant of your Trading Standards, and get them to deal with it. Also if bought and paid with a credit card (even part payment - £100.00 in UK) - then your card company also has a responsibility for this as well. Check it out

I followed Budfred advice and wrote somebody from Fujitsu corporative website in Germany and told them my problem and that I had posted it on an internet public forum, she wrote me back and told me that she was going to get over my case.
This morning I called Madrid Help Desk to ask about my computer and they told me that the kit had arrived and that they were going to work on it, so I'm like, wao! it sure made an impact!
To my surprise the director from fujitsu called me this afternoon and told me that my case brought his attention and that I could go to PC City to pick up a brand new computer instead of the one they are repairing.
That's what I call impact Thanx a lot guys!
Viva Fujitsu!!!

Wow and whoa and whoopee!!!! That is quite an outcome. Congratulations. Hopefully this one will turn out to warrant the reputation Fujitsu usually has....
