bad battery

i've had this laptop for errrrr.. i'd say about 2 or 3 days. my compaq is TRYING to charge up my battary, but it says there is 0% in the battary. nothing will boot from the battary basically it says its a bad battary. the battary worked the first couple of days i had the laptop, but now its not. any suggestions? i hope i dont already have a bad battary.

Bad battery sounds likely to me. If this is a new laptop, that is the most likely possibility and I would look for an RMA. If it is an older laptop, it is possible that the battery charging is the issue.

*few* i took it out jiggled it a little pushed the little button to see if its charged or not and now it works *Few*
