PCMCIA Network adapter code 10

Old vintage 1994, 486 laptop , want to install pcmcia network card in windows 95 (base edition). Card is Netgear FA 411. card is recognized, installs until well until the end- when it says code 10 in device manager- drivers not installed blah blah... I tried changing the memory address, irq - no help. Any suggestions? If i have to reinstall windows again from floppies its going in the trash!~

This adapter is supposed to work down to DOS, NE2000 compatible. It is supposed to be 95 friendly.

If you are able to install the drivers for the card, then it sound like something else is wrong.

I am not totally sure about this, but when I recently reinstalled a old laptop, I had a similar problem with a pcmcia card. I found the problem in that case was that the pcmcia card services were not installed. Once I installed the relevant card services the problem was corrected and the pcmcia card worked fine.

Hope this helps
