Question No Display on Toshiba Satellite 1555CDS

I have a Toshiba Satellite 1555CDS The display screen will not come on all the time. One out of five times it will work. It has been dropped once but caught before it hit the carpet. If hooked to another monitor it works fine. If it is the screen where could I get another one if needed and are they hard to install. Thanks.

If the display works 20% of the attempts then there is a high probability that the LCD itself has no proplem. Are you sure the computer is not set for external monitor only? It is unlikely because LCD works 20% of the time. But I still suggest to press Fn+F5 keys to change the display selection setting. You need to wait few secons to see the change and repeat this operation at lest one cycle of the possible settings is complete.

Please check if the flex connecting the LCD and display card is not lose. You could try to change the angle of the LCD when it is working.

I am out of suggestion for now....
