Question Corrupted or missing file

I am operating a toshiba Toshiba Satellite Pro 430CDT. When I boot it up I get message The Following file is missing or Corrupted:
C:\TSGY2K\Fix2000.exe There is an error in your config sys file on
line 1 The following file is missing or corrupted: Command.com
It seems no matter what I type I can't do anything. I would just like to reformat and start over. I have an OEM version of windows 98. Do I need files also for Toshiba also I do not have a restore disk. Can I get these files somewhere if needed. I appreciate the Help.

You can probably get whatever you need online, but you probably would be well off to find the things you need before you reformat so that you have it available when you need it.

This SITE has WinDriversBackup which will let you save your drivers so that you will have them to reload.

This Program can provide detailed info about the computer so that you can figure out what you need.

If you can't access currently, you can reinstall Win98 over the current install to at least get in and backup, but I would still reformat after that since it will be unstable....
