Default settings have been changed after restart

Hello,

I've re-installed the drivers/software for the touchpad(mouse pad) and restarted my laptop(Fujitsu-Siemens).All my default settings have been changed and internet explorer looks weird.The minimise, maximise and close buttons looks very small.whats the reason for this strange behaviour??
Any ideas
