Tiny Badged 5600 Notebook - manufacturer details?

I have a notebook which is a P2 266, bought a few years ago.
It is badged Tiny, but as Tiny are the biggest bunch of wasters I've ever dealt with regarding PCs, there is no real detail with it.
I believe it is possibly an NEC, but there is so little documentation etc that it is proving extremely difficult to find out anything relevant.

I have a problem with the power - when connected to the mains, the power will be applied for a variable amount of time, and then switch off. The power-reading for the battery is not accurate, often showing it to be full when there is virtually no charge.
I don't know if it is the battery (it has hardly ever run just on battery, but the battery is certainly a few years old) the PSU, or the connector.
When the power led shows nothing, unplugging the power lead and reinserting switches the led on, and it will stay on for a variable length of time.

The only information I have is that it is a model 5600.
There is an FCC code which is eundesignotes56, but this doesn't show up anything on the FCC search site.

Belarc advisor shows the system to be FIC, with the serial number FIC-0987654321abcdefghi, which doesn't sound too much like a genuine serial number.
Since the demise of google as a serious search engine (it is now just an advertisement board) it is extremely difficult to find info - any suggestions?
