lcd moniters & vidio cards


i was just trying to find out if i needed a special kind of vidio card
for lcd moniters.
i have a radeon ve 7000
(64 mb ddr/crt tv & dvi-out
supports vga dvi and tv. does anyone knows if this will work.

HI, Welcome Aboard!

No, you don't need anything special to use with LCD monitors.

The fact that your video card provides a DVI output also gives you more flexibility when choosing your monitor - the DVI output means that the output doesn't need to be translated twice as it does on normal VGA cards-CRT monitors.

If you're going to choose an LCD monitor, make sure you get a chance to view it before you buy - this is one area where seeing is believing! The monitor is the one part of your system which will outlive the rest, so get the right one.
