What kind of file is this (a BIOS flash) and what are you trying to to with it?

Most often a rom file is either an update for a BIOS or some other programming that used to be hard coded on a ROM chip, like a game cartridge for a video game.

Sorry I was trying to open the wrong thing. I thought I was clicking on the manual part. oops.
