Want to play music, but you still don’t have a speaker? Why don’t you try to set up your Amazon Echo as your new speaker? You can always jam out with Alexa and play your favorite music everywhere in your house (if you have multiple Amazon Echo speakers).

Using Alexa to play your music

Your Amazon Echo is your smart speaker that can play your music and is Alexa enabled. It can perform a variety of functions for you. You can listen to your favorite podcast using this smart device.

Here are some steps you need to follow to complete it.

Step

1

Turning on Bluetooth

First, open Settings on your iPhone and turn your Bluetooth on. Subsequently, you will have to check the list of devices available.

Similarly, if you have an Android device, just turn on your Bluetooth and see the list of devices available.

Step

2

Pairing Alexa

The next step is to pair Alexa; for that, you need to say “Alexa, Bluetooth on” or “Alexa, pair.” Just be sure to stay within the hearing range of your Echo speaker.

As soon as you say it, the device will go into pairing mode, and a blue light will start flashing. Your Echo will appear in the list if it hasn’t already been done as described in the previous step.

Step

3

Connecting the Speaker

Now tap on Echo in the list on your phone, and your Echo will connect. Once it is connected, your Echo is now your Bluetooth Speaker.

You will have to say, “Alexa, disconnect from my phone,” and Echo will disconnect.

Conclusion

The pairing will be much easier once you have connected your phone. And you will be able to connect your phone in one go. You won’t have to go through all the above steps each time you are looking to connect your phone with Echo.

Just say, “Alexa, connect my phone,” and it will connect with your phone instantly. You can play whatever you like on your phone and hear the sound from your Echo.

If you have multiple Echo devices across your home, the same sound will come out from all, and you will listen to your favorite song throughout your home.
