Compress PNG
Reduce PNG file size for web, email, and uploads.
- Free, no sign-up
- Up to 30 files at once
- No watermark
- Files deleted after conversion
How to compress images
- Upload your images above (up to 30 at a time).
- Choose a compression level. The default keeps images looking the same while cutting the size a lot.
- Optionally set a maximum width. Resizing a 4000 px photo to 2000 px cuts the file size by around 75% on its own.
- Click Compress and download. Several images download together as a ZIP.
How it works
PNG is lossless, so the compressor first optimises how the data is stored (no quality change at all), then, where it makes no visible difference, reduces the image to a smaller colour palette. Screenshots, logos and graphics often shrink by 50 to 80%; transparency is kept.
Why compress images?
- Upload limits: get under the size limit for forms, job applications, marketplaces and email.
- Faster websites: smaller images make pages load quicker, which helps visitors and search rankings.
- Storage: save space on your phone, cloud drive or server.
Tips for the smallest files
- Resize first. Most screens never show more than 2000 pixels across.
- Photos compress best as JPG or WebP; screenshots and logos as PNG.
- Convert to a modern format: JPG to WebP or PNG to WebP usually saves another 25 to 35%.

Is it safe?
Your files are uploaded over an encrypted connection, converted on our server and deleted as soon as your download has been created. We don’t keep copies, look at your images or ask you to sign up.
Frequently asked questions
Will my images look worse?
Not at the default setting. The compressor targets savings you can’t see; you can choose a stronger level if you need smaller files.
How much smaller will my files be?
It depends on the image. Photos saved straight from a camera or phone typically shrink by 40 to 80%. Images that are already optimised may only drop a little.
Is it free?
Yes, with no limits, watermark or account.
Does it remove location data?
Yes. Metadata such as GPS location and camera details is removed, which also makes images safer to share.
