Skytech Gaming King 95 Desktop PC – AMD RX 7900XTX 24GB

Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz (5.2 GHz), X670 Board, 1TB Gen4 NVMe SSD, 32GB DDR5 RAM 6000 RGB, 1000W Gold ATX 3 PSU, 360mm ARGB AIO, Wi-Fi, Win 11

What we like about this Skytech Gaming King 95 PC

Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RX 7900 XTX

A powerhouse GPU and CPU combo, and one that’s excellent for 4K gaming in particular. First off, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is one of the best gaming CPUs you can get, featuring a high boost clock speed of 5.2GHz alongside its unique, massive 96MB L3 cache. Its cache is designed to hold far more data than your typical CPU and be accessed faster, too. It’s a great processor for reducing frame latency, and its high core and thread counts also make it perform quite well with multitasking. The RX 7900 XTX is one of the best graphics cards for 4K gaming, and offers a compelling alternative to some of the lower VRAM 50-series options. It has a massive 24GB of GDDR6 memory, making it a great option for higher-resolution gaming and heavy-duty creative tasks. In our testing and review, an ASUS version of this card was able to get 70fps at 4K in Cyberpunk 2077 at max settings, with no ray tracing, 147fps at 4K with Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and a massive 227fps at 4K in Doom Eternal.

Other components

You’ve got 32GB of DDR5 RAM in this build, which is a good amount for gaming, giving you some headroom for future releases, and making sure your overall experience is snappy and responsive. There’s a smaller 1TB NVMe SSD, too, which is good for having a few games on rotation, and there’s an impressive 1000W Gold-rated PSU for ample and stable power delivery.

PC case and cooling

The Skytech Gaming King 95 lineup features a very stylish, panoramic design, which we’re big fans of, but it’s also designed with cooling in mind. You’ll find various vents and fans to expel heat and keep everything running at its best, and the fans themselves have quite operational noise, too. Skytech also uses high-spec and effective AIO cooling solutions in its builds, which is great for heavy usage or prolonged gaming sessions.

Considerations and alternatives

At this price range, you’d typically find an RTX 5070 Ti gaming PC and maybe an RTX 5080 with a lower-end CPU. Both of these have newer GDDR7 VRAM, and you’ve also got access to DLSS 4, with multi-frame generation, which can give them the edge over the older RX 7900 XTX. However, if you’re looking for solid 4K gaming performance, without spending RTX 5080 prices or settling for something with only 16GB of VRAM, this PC is a very good way to go. For 1440p gaming, we’d say you could be better off with a more affordable RX 9070 XT model, which is often well below $2000, and have relatively good 4K performance with a few tweaks to settings.
