ABS RTX 5060 gaming PC receives massive $300 discount on Newegg, perfect for price conscious gamers
Table of Contents
The ABS gaming PC lineup from Newegg has plenty of variants catering to those who want premium options and those who are operating on a budget. We spotted the ABS Cyclone Aqua gaming PC, which has the RTX 5060, making it a solid option for the latter. Right now, you can get your hands on it for a smidge above $1,000, or more precisely $1,099.99, as it has a whopping $300 price cut.
You can drop the price further as it features an additional 5% off via the “ABS5APRIL” promo code. So, it should cost less than $1,000, and at the price point, we think it is a steal. The hardware isn’t top-end, but for everyday use and excellent gaming, it should more than easily get the job done, and we would recommend that you give it a second look before moving on.

What we liked about this gaming PC
Decent and efficient processor for everyday use
Powered by the Intel Core i5-14400F, this gaming build should be efficient, but keep in mind that it isn’t the best for extreme performance. The reason being that the 14400F has 10 cores and 16 threads to work with. This is a decent core and thread count and shouldn’t bring the performance down in demanding applications, but server-level tasks would be a bit much to deal with.

That being said, for low-resolution gaming, video editing, and other workflows, it should churn out good output while keeping the power draw to a minimum, depending on the task, since it has a 65W base TDP that can ramp up to 148W. A big plus with this processor is that you won’t need to worry about it overheating, but the downside is that it can’t be overclocked.
Next-gen GPU with DLSS 4 for excellent gaming
Many budget PC builds opt for the RTX 5060 thanks to its excellent gaming performance and the fact that it comes with DLSS 4 and MFG. These technologies are the biggest weapons in budget and mid-range GPUs’ arsenal as they allow them to punch above their weight class. That being said, 1080p and 1440p should be smooth sailing with the RTX 5060, and in titles like CS2, 4K should be possible, but besides that, the output won’t be the best, so I won’t recommend that.
It has 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM, which has been a hot topic as players and professionals want GPUs with higher VRAM for better productivity, but thanks to the Blackwell architecture, its output is much better than its predecessor. So, content creation, AI tasks, and other workflows should be dealt with good efficiency, but don’t forget that this is a budget GPU and certainly has its limitations.
Solid supporting hardware for overall performance
While the processor and GPU are perfect for the price range, it wouldn’t make sense if you have 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. As that would bring the entire build down a notch. So, this gaming PC features 32GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1TB SSD. You might be wondering if DDR4 is slow, which it is compared to DDR5, but that doesn’t mean that it can hold its own in the current landscape. My personal gaming rig has only 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and I play games like Battlefield 6, The Finals, Apex Legends, CS2, Death Stranding, and more at 1440p ultra settings without any issues.
So, this should allow the system to operate very efficiently. The 1TB SSD is a good option to start with, but we won’t recommend that you upgrade it, as you can never have too much storage. Besides that, the processor has an air cooler, which should keep it adequately cooled, and the overall look of this prebuilt PC is also good, but doesn’t stand out a lot, which is a plus point if you are looking for something minimalistic.
Things to consider
The biggest aspect to consider with this gaming PC is its budget nature. While it is light on the pocket compared to other offerings, it also comes with a downside, and that is the overall performance. The components are of a budget nature, which makes the energy efficient, but the output also takes a hit. However, this should only come into play if you plan on pushing very heavy workflows on it.
Besides that, it is based on the LGA 1700 platform, meaning that the max you can upgrade to is the Intel Core i9-14900K, which is a beast but has its own issues, such as overheating, and you also might’ve heard about the issues that plagued the flagship offerings of the 13th and 14th-generation CPUs.
