Black Friday is heading our way, but we’re spotting some excellent monitor deals already. Case in point, this Alienware 34-inch gaming monitor, which is now down 14%, reduced from $729.95 to $624.50 on Amazon, and at its lowest price in 30 days, too. This monitor boasts an impressive QD-OLED display, with a 175Hz refresh rate, excellent 99.3% DCI-P3 color, and sharp WQHD resolution. It’s a high-quality, premium option for those who need something capable for gaming but also for creative work, too, and for the price, we think it gives you a lot of bang for your buck.

What we like about this Alienware curved gaming monitor
This gaming monitor brings a lot to the table, but let’s start off with the panel itself, which is QD-OLED. These are essentially ‘enhanced’ OLED screens that combine Quantum Dot technology with OLED. The result is better color and brightness, while retaining much of the impressive contrast OLEDs are well known for. This makes it great for gaming and making everything look more lifelike, but also excellent for creative work, such as video editing or graphic design. In fact, it even boasts 99.3% DCI-P3 color, putting it up there at the same level as many monitors designed with creative professionals in mind. In terms of resolution, it’s WQHD, which is 3440 x 1440p. At 34 inches, that’s going to look crisp and sharp, despite it not being 4K, and means that you don’t have to have one of the best graphics cards to make the most out of it. Refresh rate is decent, coming in at 175Hz, which is enough for fast-paced gaming, and it also has a subtle 1800R curve for immersion, but without making it impractical for other usages.
Some considerations before buying
While this monitor will be great for a wide range of different games, you may want to explore high refresh rate models if you’re primarily playing more competitive titles. 175Hz is high, but there is a similar, but slightly more expensive option from Alienware that is 240Hz, which may be preferable.
Is it a good time to buy?

It looks like the graph from camelcamelcamel has not updated to show the most recent price; however, according to the listing, this monitor is at its best price in 30 days on Amazon, and back its lowest price ever, too. Based on what we’re seeing, it’s rarely at full price, so we’d imagine that there will be plenty of opportunities to grab this on sale, especially as it’s an older model. That being said, now could be a good time to go for it if you want to beat the last-minute rush when the Black Friday sales fully kick off.
