What we like about this HP OmniBook 5 laptop
Stunning display
This laptop features a 2K OLED touchscreen 16-inch display. 2K resolution on a screen this size is going to look very crisp, but it’s going to keep the price significantly lower than if you had a 4K screen instead, which is a big win. It has a decent brightness of 300 nits, which is better than your lower-end monitors, and relatively bright for an OLED, which can sometimes be 250 nits from our experience.
Snapdragon X Plus processor
This is an 8-core processor that has a clock speed of up to 3.4GHz, integrated graphics, and a 45 TOPS NPU. It’s a processor that allows for excellent battery life, without breaking the bank, and is very good for productivity, multitasking, and, of course, AI-powered tasks.
Impressive battery life
If you need something that you can use for hours on end without having to worry about plugging in, this laptop is great. It has up to 34 hours of battery life, making it ideal for those who are constantly on the go.
Decent amount of RAM
You’ve got 16GB of RAM here, and it’s DDR5, meaning it’s far faster than your standard DDR4 offerings. This is enough RAM to keep things running smoothly, even when you have multiple windows open or applications running at the same time.

Who is this laptop for?
Coming in at $629.99, this is more of a mid-range option for those who need something good primarily for productivity, that’s also ultra portable, thin, and comes with a high-resolution screen that doesn’t break the bank as much as a 4K alternative would. Its processor is decent, but we’d say there are others out there that could be better for gaming, like some of the Ryzen options, for instance. That being said, its dedicated NPU is quite impressive, especially if you’re leveraging AI in your workflows and day-to-day. Overall, for something that looks super sleek and offers excellent performance, this is a great way to go for the price.
