Amazon deal slashes $550 off iBuyPower RTX 5070Ti, 7 7800X3D gaming PC ahead of Prime Big Deal Days
Table of Contents
We’ve spotted an excellent iBuyPower gaming PC with a hefty pre-Prime Big Deal Days discount on Amazon that we think is well worth checking out. Right now, this Y40 Pro RTX 5070 Ti 16GB prebuilt gaming PC is down $550, reducing its price from $2,449.99 to $1,899.99. Now, considering this has a Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 2TB SSD, we think this is very competitively priced, especially if you’re looking for something very capable of 1440p gaming at max settings for under $2000.

What we like about the iBuyPower Y40 Pro gaming PC
Great card for 1440p
The RTX 5070 Ti is a brilliant card to go for if you’re planning on gaming in mostly 1440p at max settings. While it’s also seen as a decent card for 4K, we’d say that you’d be better off with an RX 7900 XTX, as it has 24GB of VRAM compared to this card’s 16GB. But for 1440p, it’s an excellent choice, especially given you have the option of using DLSS and MFG to push framerates even higher. In terms of performance, since we haven’t tested an RTX 5070 Ti graphics card just yet, we’ll use some benchmarks found on Newegg for similarly specced RTX 5070 Ti builds. At max settings with ray racing disabled, you can expect to get 115fps at 1440p with Cyberpunk 2077, 155fps at 1440p with Black Ops 6, and 70fps at 1440p with Black Myth: Wukong. That’s pretty impressive given the price, which is not a huge amount more than a 12GB RTX 5070 PC build from our findings.
One of the best value-for-performance gaming CPUs
This PC has the legendary Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which was essentially the top dog in the world of gaming processors when it was released a couple of years back. It’s designed very much with gaming in mind, so it doesn’t have a massive core and thread count (8 + 16), but it goes all in when it comes to its L3 cache size (96MB) and boost clock speed (5GHz). For high frame rate gaming, it’s excellent, as its massive L3 cache drastically reduces frame latency, and since it’s been usurped by the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, it offers brilliant value for your money, too.
Loads of RAM and storage
This gaming PC has a fair whack of RAM, coming in at 32GB, and a pretty hefty 2TB SSD, too. For the price, this is great to see. The DDR5 RAM here is slightly slower than what you’d find in most gaming PCs, coming in at 5400MHz; however, this really won’t mean much to most people and will be barely noticeable in most cases. What’s great is taht yoy have 32GB of it, which will come in handy when playing games with huge asset libraries, such as open world titles. The SSD is also big enough for storing a large gaming library, in addition to other large files like 4K video footage. Again, for most people, you won’t be running out of space anytime soon.
Who’s this deal for?
Coming in at $1,899.99, this is a pretty good deal considering it has an X3D processor, 2TB SSD, and 32GB of RAM, and it’s well worth considering if you’re looking for something for 1440p gaming, and perhaps a bit of 4K at a push with a few setting tweaks. A good alternative would be an RX 9070 XT prebuilt gaming PC, which will come in at around the same price, and if you wanted to get something better for 4K, we’d say one of the discounted RTX 5080s is your best bet. We’ve spotted these at around $2300 at their lowest recently.
