What we like about this Thermaltake LCGS View gaming PC
Excellent mid-range graphics card
The RTX 5070 12GB is one of the best graphics cards if you’re looking for solid 1440p performance without a huge price tag. It has an MSRP of $549.99, which puts it at around half the price of the RTX 5080, and while it may struggle with some higher resolutions and textures due to the smaller VRAM, it’s still head and shoulder above the RTX 5060 8GB when it comes to 1440p gaming. It’s also a quality option to go for if you’re upgrading from an earlier generation, since it’s built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture. This means you’re getting access to new features like DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation, both of which are excellent at improving performance. Overall, a very good card for the price, especially if you’re budget can’t stretch to the RTX 5070 Ti, which has an MSRP of $749.
Very good Intel processor
This build features the Intel i7-14700F, which is one of the best price-to-performance ratio CPUs you can get. It’s an incredibly versatile processor, boasting a very high core and thread count of 20 and 28, allowing it to be very effective at heavy-duty multitasking. It also has a high 5.4Ghz boost clock for more intensive and demanding scenarios, such as gaming or creative workflows, and also packs a decent-sized 33MB L3 cache. A very good processor to pair with the RTX 5070, which makes this PC a bit of a productivity powerhouse, too.

High-speed RAM and decent storage
This PC features 32GB of DDR5-6000 RAM, which is up there with some of the fastest you can get. As we always say, this is going to be great for gaming, particularly if you’re playing open-world or heavily modified titles, and it’s going to come in handy if you’re looking to run loads of applications at the same time without slowdowns. You’ve also got a decent-sized 1TB SSD. That’s good if you’re playing a few games on rotation, but you may want to upgrade if you’re planning on using this for video editing as well.
How will this gaming PC perform?
Check out our full ASUS TUF RTX 5070 review for a more in-depth look at what to roughly expect across all resolutions with this type of build, but in short, this type of PC will perform very well at 1440p, and some 4K if you tweak a few settings. It should comfortably hit over 100fps, even with ray tracing, with most games. For example, Doom Eternal hit 212fps with ray tracing; however, with more demanding titles like Cyberpunk 2077, the RTX 5070 was able to get 45fps with ray tracing. Using DLSS and MFG pushes performance higher, of course.
Who’s this deal for?
Coming in at $1,599.99, this is one of the more competitively priced RTX 5070 gaming PCs we’ve come across, and we think it’s ideal for anyone who wants something excellent for high fps 1440p gaming at ultra settings, and something that can handle ray tracing relatively well in most cases. The processor also makes it quite adept for anyone wanting to use this PC for more hybrid usage, such as video editing or graphic design. Overall, it’s a great option to go for at a very good price.
