Table of Contents
We’ve spotted an RTX 5070 Ti gaming laptop going for a great price on Amazon, and we think it’s well worth a look if you’re sticking to a budget of under $1,500. Right now, this MSI Vector 16 HX laptop is down $300, and reduced from $1,799.99 to $1,499.99 with a limited-time deal. That’s an excellent price for a laptop with 12GB of GDDR7 VRAM, a high-end Intel Core Ultra 7-255HX processor, and a speedy 144Hz FHD+ display.

RTX 5070 Ti mobile & Intel Core Ultra 7-255HX processor
The RTX 5070 Ti mobile is one of the best graphics cards you can get for your money when it comes to laptop GPUs. It has 12GB of GDDR7 VRAM and is built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell Architecture, so you’re getting the latest ray-tracing and tensor cores, plus features of DLSS 4 and MFG. It’s a great option to go for if you’re looking for something good for 1440p, and at a push, it can handle 4K, but it’s also a quality choice for moderately demanding video editing and creative work, too. The Intel Core Ultr 7-255HX is also a good pick for the money. It features 20 cores, 20 threads, a big boost clock speed of 5.2GHz, and a large 30MB L3 cache. Since it’s an HX CPU, it’s designed with high-end performance in mind, making it a good choice for both gaming and more demanding multitasking and productivity workflows.
Display
This laptop’s screen is pretty much everything you need for high fps gaming, coming in with a 144Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. Being 16-inch in size means that FHD+ resolution will look crisp and clear, too, and its high refresh rate should easily accommodate 100fps+ gaming, making it ideal for more competitive play.
Storage, RAM, and extra features
You’ve got 16GB of DDR5 RAM here, which is more than enough to handle demanding games, creative applications, and multitasking. There’s also a 512GB SSD, which is on the small side, but not bad if you’re playing a few games on rotation. On top of that, you’ve got WIFI 6E, for fast online gaming and streaming, plus Thunderbolt 5 connectivity for lightning-fast data transfer and use with high-resolution monitors.
Things to consider
This is a great price for an RTX 5070 Ti laptop, but it does scale back in some areas you may feel are important. Its SSD is pretty lacklustre and will fill up very quickly if you’re playing more than a few large AAA games. Its screen is good, but by no means the best you can get, especially when compared to some of the options from ASUS ROG, which are often mini-LED and higher resolution, too. And its design is fairly uninspired, too, with alternatives from Alienware looking much better in our view. This is what we’d say is a performance-first option, so if you’re looking for an RTX 5070 Ti laptop for a great price, this a great way to go. For extra bells and whistles, be prepared to pay a premium, but check the sales as many of these options are often discounted.
