In the Ryzen 9000 family, the Ryzen 9 9950X and the Ryzen 9 9950X3D stand at the top as these are flagship offerings, made to tackle extreme performance with ease. That being said, it is no surprise that the price tag is also equivalent to the top position, but since the Amazon Spring sale is in full swing, the Ryzen 9 9950X has 21% slashed from its price.
So, if you’ve been waiting for the right time to get hold of this processor at a lower price, the time is now, as it’ll only cost you $513.63 with this offer. This is a good amount of money saved, and the best part is that, since it is a flagship processor, it can handle anything you throw at it, making it one of the best CPUs on the market.
- High core count makes it perfect for heavy multitasking
- Can be paired with the best GPU, RTX 5090
- Top of the line offering
- Not a budget processor
- Meant for heavy processing, not a good option for casual use
What this processor brings to the table
Here at PC Guide, we’ve tested and reviewed the Ryzen 9 9950X extensively and put it through various tests to gauge its gaming performance and productivity. This CPU has outstanding output thanks to its 16 cores and 32 threads, powered by the Zen 5 architecture. The total power draw is 170W, but keep in mind that when we turned on PBO, its multi-core performance increased, and so did the thermal output, to the point that our 240mm AIO cooler was struggling to keep up.
