AMD’s Ryzen 7 5700G is at a new lowest price – good news for low-cost PC builds

AMD’s 5000 series has been getting a lot of love, but the ‘G’ variants can be overlooked. However, if you’re not necessarily after a graphics card to build a gaming or content-focused system, a new deal on the Ryzen 7 5700G could be what you need.
The ‘G’ here is for graphics, and the 5700G is a good option if you’re going the lower-cost PC route with a Socket AM4 build that you need for daily app and productivity tasks. Its typical price is $165, but, like other 5000 series parts, it’s currently less than that. Amazon’s deal at the time of writing has the 8-core CPU at $145. That’s a saving of $20 (12%).

Why we like the AMD Ryzen 7 5700G
AMD’s 5000 series holds up well for cost-effective setups, even in 2025. Where the 5700G is concerned, this 8-core, 16-thread processor has plenty to offer for systems that don’t necessarily need discrete graphics, because it features AMD’s Radeon Vega 8 iGPU solution. That doesn’t mean you can’t add a discrete option, and the best GPUs for the 5700G can certainly pair well enough to make a solid gaming system.

That’s not to say you cannot add a graphics card later if you need or want to. Full of the capable Zen 3 cores, and able to push information at a decent rate, it can support modern GPUs like the Intel Arc B580, RTX 5070, or RX 9070 XT.
