It’s always nice to see a deal on Apple hardware, and the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales period is one of the best times to pick up something new. The tech giant launched its M3 chip-powered iPad Air earlier this year, in March, and now it’s already got a generous price cut on Cyber Monday. The latest-gen iPad Air would usually cost you $899.00, but a limited-time deal has dropped it down to just $749.00, saving you a clean $150.

There’s a range of variations to choose from, but we’re talking about the Wi-Fi model with 256GB in particular. It’s listed with Blue, Starlight, Purple, and Space Gray colorways, but we noticed that only the Blue and Purple variants are available with this WiFi/256GB configuration at the time of writing. In any case, you should be able to fit the right one for you this Cyber Monday.

Why you should choose the M3 iPad Air

It always feels great to find latest-generation tech at a discount price. That’s exactly what Cyber Monday offers you. Apple is yet to upgrade the iPad Air to its newer M4 or M5 chips – the latter is reserved for its higher-end devices, including the M5 iPad Pro.

Versatile and lightweight, powered by M3

As the name would suggest, the iPad Air is the more lightweight iPad option, with a 13-inch screen and slimline, portable design. It weighs just 616 grams (‎1.36 pounds) and is the ideal tablet to take on your travels. It’s a particularly great tablet for students that offers M3 performance. So, whether you’re using it for creative work, productivity, or even graphic-intensive games, you shouldn’t have any problems with the latest Air.

Built for Apple Intelligence

Speaking of the M3 chip, Apple says this generation is “built for Apple Intelligence,” which helps support AI and AI-accelerated features. Apple is also keen to point out that Apple Intelligence offers “groundbreaking privacy protections” to ensure that your data is not being accessed by a third party, nor by Apple. The AI tech comes with a long list of features that are integrated into much of Apple’s first-party software. You can read more about it here.

Deals season is here folks, and Amazon has already kickstarted its early Black Friday deals! We'll be covering all the best deals in more details over in our deals hub, but if you haven't got time to read through those, why not see our top picks below.

Long battery life

Any portable device should have a long battery life. Apple says that the M3 iPad Air offers “all-day battery life,” so you shouldn’t have to worry about it giving out on you too easily. This translates to up to 10 hours of web browsing and video watching on the Wi-Fi model. You can easily charge the device via its power adapter or USB-C. The 13-inch model is also fitted with a larger battery than the 11-inch.

Why is this a good iPad deal?

This deal matches the lowest-ever price we’ve seen on Amazon. The device has dropped a few times to $749.99 in the months following its launch, so we don’t expect to see it drop much lower before the end of the year. As such, it’s a great time to pick one up – whether it’s for yourself or as a gift this holiday season.

Like we said before, scoring a deal on latest-gen tech is always a bonus, especially as we likely won’t see the M4 model arrive until 2026. If you’re in the market for a new iPad right now, this Cyber Monday deal is just what you need. Amazon price tracking site Camelcamelcamel reveals the history of the 13-inch M3 256GB model.
