Amazon's Prime Day has kicked off, and we're seeing some great discounts on gadgets. But even without the Prime Day tag, there are quite a few deals that are worth your attention – like the one we have here. The MSI Claw, which is a relatively new handheld gaming PC by the brand, is selling for a 20% reduced price. This means you can get the device at $599.00 instead of the regular price of $749.00.

Should you get the MSI Claw Gaming PC Handheld?

The MSI Claw A1M comes in two variants: the base version (i.e. the cheaper one) has an Intel Ultra 5-135H processor, while the other one is powered by the Intel Ultra 7-155H. For this deal, we're talking about the latter, as it is currently enjoying the better discount. In fact, it’s the lowest-ever price for this Amazon listing according to price-tracking website Camelcamelcamel.

The MSI Claw sports a 7-inch IPS screen with a 1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, which is on par with its rivals like the ROG Ally (which is also on sale), while being ahead of Valve’s Steam Deck. Plus, it is powered by one of the latest Intel Meteor Lake CPUs and features integrated Intel Arc graphics, which should be powerful enough to handle many AAA games. The variant on discount here comes with a 512GB SSD, which is decent.

In our review of the MSI Claw, we found that it does have its own perks. Unlike the Steam Deck, Claw has fully RGB buttons, which makes it easy to play games in low light conditions and also adds visual flair. It has a bigger battery than all its rivals (minus the upcoming ROG Ally X), so it should technically last longer. Further, we played a few games on it, and they ran smoothly. Plus, the device has excellent thermal management as it remained chilled during the entire playtime.

The main issue we had with MSI Claw was its cost. The price tag of $799 made it a harder pick, as you could get Steam Deck or ASUS ROG Ally for a lower price. So the 20% price cut here mitigates the cost concerns a bit.
