ASUS The SFF-Ready Prime GeForce RTX 5080 OC Edition

16GB GDDR7 Graphics Card (PCIe® 5.0, 16GB GDDR7, HDMI®/DP 2.1, 2.5-Slot, Axial-tech Fans, Vapor Chamber, Dual BIOS)

This ASUS RTX 5080 is an incredible card designed for top-tier 4K gaming performance, creative workflows, and AI tasks. Featuring an SFF-ready design, this is ideal for those who are looking to create a high-powered, compact build without sacrificing performance.

Key features of this ASUS SFF-Ready Prime RTX 5080 graphics card

Blackwell architecture

This ASUS RTX 5080 is built on Nvidia’s impressive, next-gen Blackwell architecture, which offers excellent performance for gaming, AI workloads, and creative work. It features 16GB of new and improved GDDR7 VRAM, which boasts higher bandwidth than GDDR6, making it exceptional for even the most demanding titles and creative applications. It also has new features such as DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation, which allow you to push framerates even higher, all the while keeping performance super smooth.

Advanced cooling with Phase-change GPU thermal pad

Since this is an OC edition, ASUS has packed this graphics card with features designed to keep it running at its best, even when under very heavy loads. It features Axial-Tech fans, which have a smaller fan hub that allows for longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure. On top of that, there’s also a vapor chamber and a heatsink to keep the temperature of the GPU lower. There’s also a phase-change thermal pad, designed for optimal heat transfer and enhancing overall performance, whether you’re rendering in high resolution or going for a long gaming session.

Great for compact builds

This ASUS graphics card is SFF and features a 2.5-slot. It’s an excellent option to go for, and more affordable than some of your bulkier RTX 5080 graphics cards, allowing you to build something space-saving, without sacrificing power and cooling efficiency.

How this GPU performs

We’d recommend looking at our full RTX 5080 FE review to get a more in-depth idea of how this graphics card performs; however, in our real-world testing, the RTX 5080 easily handled 4K at ultra settings with ray tracing and was able to maintain high framerates, especially with DLSS 4 and MFG. For example, Shadow of the Tomb Raider was playable in 91fps in 4K with ray tracing, and 181fps with DLSS performance enabled. With 3D rendering, video editing, and AI tasks, the card also excels, especially with its new AI capabilities that accelerate tasks like image generation and upscaling.
