This graphics card is built on the latest RDNA 4 architecture, which is a significant step up from RDNA 3 across the board. You’ve got a new out-of-order memory system, which is designed to dramatically reduce latency and improve performance. Doom Eternal, however, saw a massive 249fps at 1440p with ray tracing and 154fps at 4K with ray tracing.

The big thing to consider here is whether you want to go for the RX 9070 XT or its main competitor, the RTX 5070 Ti 16GB. In short, Nvidia’s offering does take the edge when it comes to non-gaming related tasks, as it boasts pretty impressive 5th-gen tensor cores, 4th-gen ray tracing cores, and even newer, faster GDDR7 VRAM. For gaming, the RX 9070 XT certianly holds its own, but if you want something for content creation, AI-accelerated workflows, and more, then the RTX 5070 TI may be worth the extra spend.
