Cyber Monday laptop deals have been kind to us this year, and with the event soon coming to a close, there’s no time to waste if you’re in the market for a new gaming laptop. We’ve spotted one machine featuring Nvidia’s entry-level RTX 4050 GPU, dropping to just $749.99, down from its usual list price of $1,099.99.

The RTX 4050 is far from high-end, but it’s still a decent gaming GPU that will run modern titles without too much fuss. And as part of the RTX 40 series, you have access to most DLSS 4 features as well as Frame Generation technology to boost your performance where needed.

ASUS TUF Gaming F16 (Core 5 210H)

16” FHD+ 144Hz IPS-Level 16:10 Display, Intel® Core™ 5 210H, NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4050, 16GB DDR5, 512GB PCIe Gen4 SSD, Wi-Fi 6, Win11 Home, FX607VU-SS53

Why you should consider this RTX 4050 laptop deal

This ASUS TUF laptop features an Intel Core 5 210H processor, RTX 4050 graphics, 16GB DDR5RAM, and a 512GB SSD. It promises to offer solid performance for its FHD+ resolution – here are a few other things that stand out.

16-inch display with 144Hz refresh rate

Like many laptops, the ASUS TUF Gaming F16 comes with a 16:10 screen. This model in particular features an FHD+ resolution, which translates to 1920 x 1200 (essentially a taller version of 1080p). Despite not being the highest resolution you’ll find out there, we think it’s suitable enough for the 16″ screen size and a good resolution for the entry-level RTX 4050 laptop GPU. You should have no problem running most popular games at native resolution. There’s also support for Nvidia G-Sync to help keep your experience as visually smooth as possible.

Adequate cooling for gaming

ASUS says this machine offers “efficient cooling” thanks to its 84-blade Arc Flow fans to maximize airflow, four dedicated exhaust vents, and five copper heatpipes to draw heat away from the CPU and GPU and towards the fans. Gaming laptops are known to get pretty hot when put under stress, but ASUS has made some promising design choices to ensure the TUF laptop can handle the pressure.

Deals season is here folks, and Amazon has already kickstarted its early Black Friday deals! We'll be covering all the best deals in more details over in our deals hub, but if you haven't got time to read through those, why not see our top picks below.

Highly durable

TUF is in the name for a reason. ASUS boasts “military grade durability” (MIL-STD-810H) on this gaming laptop, which helps protect it from vibration, altitude and shock damage. Additionally, the device should keep things together even at high and low temperatures. Despite the heavy-duty durability, it’s also decently portable thanks to its 16″ design, though it should go without saying that it is nowhere near as lightweight or portable as something like a notebook or MacBook.

Is this a good deal right now?

While we’ve definitely seen cheaper gaming laptops, the current deal this Cyber Monday is nothing to complain about. The price tag recently took a massive nose dive, which we can see by having a look at an Amazon price tracker. Before this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals event, the cheapest this ASUS TUF model has been was around $900, so it’s nice to see it drop much further during the holiday season. If you’re looking for a rugged TUF laptop for gaming on the go with military-grade protection, we’d definitely recommend this as one of the best deals today.
