Despite having ‘budget’ listed in the name of this Andromeda Insights prebuilt PC on the pages of Newegg, we do not think this is a fair description of this machine. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D might not be the latest generation processor, but it’s still one of our best CPUs for gaming and hits very hard indeed in games, thanks to its 3D V-cache technology. Additionally, the Nvidia RTX 5070 graphics card is an upper mid-range card of the latest generation of GPUs, with all the benefits of DLSS 4.5 and Multi-Frame Generation. If you want maximum gaming value and can live with a more basic memory configuration to start (only 16GB but still DDR5), this is a very smart build, and at just $1,699.99 it should not be missed!

The 7800X3D and RX 9070 XT pairing should make this system extremely capable in modern gaming, especially at 1440p where both CPU smoothness and GPU muscle matter. The 16GB RAM allocation is the one area that feels more ‘budget’ than the rest of the build, and in some newer titles or multitasking scenarios it may be the first component you think about upgrading. Even so, the core gaming foundation here is much stronger than the label suggests.

What we like about this Andromeda Insights gaming PC

Ryzen 7 7800X3D is a huge strength

Calling this a budget system undersells just how strong the CPU is for gaming. The 7800X3D is still one of the standout gaming processors in AMD’s recent lineup thanks to its cache-heavy design, which helps in CPU-limited games and improves frame pacing in a way that often matters more than raw benchmark peaks.

RX 9070 XT 16GB gives the build serious graphics credibility

A Radeon RX 9070 XT with 16GB of VRAM pushes this build well beyond entry-level or mainstream expectations. That gives the system much stronger long-term gaming headroom, especially for 1440p play and more demanding titles that benefit from a larger memory buffer.

850W Gold PSU is generous for this tier

An 850W Gold unit is more than the bare minimum for this configuration, and that is a good thing. It gives the system better electrical overhead, cleaner operation, and more flexibility than budget prebuilts that often cut corners on power delivery.

AM5 platform and DDR5-6000 keep the build modern

The combination of AM5, DDR5, and a B850M board means this system is not built on an aging platform. That matters for future upgrade flexibility and helps give the PC more longevity than a cheaper machine built around older memory and sockets.

Warranty support is stronger than average

Two years on parts plus lifetime labor and service support is a real differentiator in the prebuilt market. For buyers who want performance but also want reassurance after purchase, that is a meaningful value-add.

Who is this gaming PC for?

This system is ideal for gamers who want as much performance as possible for the money and care more about core hardware than premium cosmetics or included accessories. It is especially attractive for 1440p gaming and for buyers who want a strong CPU/GPU combination on a modern AMD platform. If you want a more polished premium aesthetic or more than 16GB of RAM out of the box, you may end up budgeting for upgrades.
