If you’re on the hunt for a 34-inch gaming monitor and you’re looking for something budget-friendly, you’ll want to check out this deal. This new Sceptre gaming monitor is currently down 18% on Amazon, reduced from $219.97 to $179.97 and at its best price ever. For well under $200, we think this is a great gaming monitor if you’re looking for a wider field of view, for both gaming and productivity, and something that would pair well with a more entry-level 1440p build for 100fps+ gaming. Not only that, but we’re big fans of the design, and think as far as ‘entry-level’ monitors go, it looks super premium.

Sceptre New IPS 34-inch Prime Monitor

3440 x 1440 up to 115Hz 103% sRGB DisplayPort HDMI Build-in Speakers, Machine Black 2026 (E345W Series)

What we like abut this Sceptre 34-inch gaming monitor

Wider field of view

This monitor comes in at 34-inches, and it has a 3440 x 1440p resolution, otherwise known as WQHD. This is essentially a mid-point between 1440p and 4K, offering more pixel density to fill out the extra horizontal space. What that means is that image quality is preserved, despite it being wider, which is great for gaming, but aslo excellent for other uses, too.

Decent refresh rate

You’ve got a 115Hz refresh rate here, which is on the lower end when it comes to these types of monitors, but then again, this display is more of a budget option tailored to lower-end 1440p gaming PCs, which typically it over 100fps. In that sense, it’s very much appropriate for the target audience, and, as it’s not giving you more Hz than your PC is capable of using, the overall price of this monitor can stay quite low, too.

Good color for the price

You typically have to pay a pretty big premium to get a gaming monitor that’s also going to have excellent color range and accuracy, but for the price, this Sceptre display is actually quite good. It has 103% sRGB, which is a touch more than your standard budget-friendly monitor. It’ll make colors look more lifelke, and that’s going to be great for gaming and, in some cases, a little light design, however, if you want something for professional level creative work, then you’ll want to look for at least 95% DCI-P3 color.

Stylish design

Design is super important when you’re going for a more affordable monitor, and we think Sceptre’s new lineup really delivers in that regard with monitors that look super premium without the huge price tag. This monitor has thin bezels, which always looks good, and a very minimal stand with a small footbase, which should stop it from taking up too much deskspace.

Who’s this deal for?

For under $200, this monitor ticks more than a few boxes for 1440p gaming and everday usage, plus, it’s one of the more premium-looking displays we’ve seen at this price range, too. We’d say that this would pair well with something like an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB or similiar, to get the most out of it, potentially an RTX 5070 12GB also. If you’ve got something pretty capable at 1440p, like an RTX 5070 Ti, we’d say you’re better off going for a QD-OLED or mini-LED monitor with a higher refresh rate, just so it can showcase games at ultra settings and higher framerates better.
