What we like about this Skytch Gaming Blaze4 gaming PC

An excellent value Nvidia graphics card

If you’re looking to keep your budget well under $900 for a gaming PC, then an RTX 4060 build is a good way to go. While some RTX 5060 8GB models can come in at just under $1000 when discounted, RTX 4060 gaming PCs are often around $100 to $150 less, which can make all the difference if you’re sticking to a specific budget. This card features 3072 CUDA cores, 8GB of older-gen GDDR6 VRAM, a 128-bit bus, and a base clock speed of 1830MHz, which can be boosted to 2460MHz. It features DLSS 3, supported by its 4th Gen Tensor Cores, and it also has 3rd Gen Ray Tracing cores, too. Overall, it’s a card that’s designed for 1080p gaming, but it can achieve good framerates at 1440p, as you’ll see later when we discuss how this PC could perform.

Good Ryzen processor for the money

This build features a Ryzen 7 5700 CPU, a budget-oriented processor that’s less punchy than the X variant but still a decent processor to pair with this type of build. It’s an AM4 CPU and features a pretty standard 8 cores and 16 threads, which is okay for multitasking, but better suited for gaming and single-core performance. It has a 3.7GHz base clock speed, which can be boosted to 4.6GHz, which is not bad either, considering the much more expensive Ryzen 7 7800X3D has a boost clock speed of 5GHz. Its 16MB L3 cache isn’t too large, mind you, but it should be enough for a 1080p gaming PC. Overall, a decent CPU to have in this build, and one that certainly keeps the overall price down.

Decent amount of RAM and storage

Since this is more of a budget build, and the processor is AM4, you’ve got DDR4 RAM here instead of DDR5. This is still good and there’s a decent amount of it, too, coming in at 16GB. This will be enough to handle running multiple applications at once and should perform fairly well with open-world or heavily modded games, but 32GB would be better. You’ve also got a 1TB SSD, which is enough room for around eight large AAA games.

How will this PC perform?

We’ve reviewed an RTX 4060 here in our testing labs, and we were impressed with its performance at both 1080p and 1440p. Below you can see our benchmarks for a variety of games, all of which were tested at max settings without ray tracing. W’d say that for ray tracing performance, you’ll want to opt for something with more VRAM.

Who’s this deal for?

If you’re sticking firmly to a budget of under $900, then this is a great PC to go for, especially if you’re after something good for 1080p at max settings and even some 1440p, too. As with most budget builds, they’re not going to blow you away with ray tracing performance, so this PC would be better if you’re more interested in games where framerates are the most important factor, rather than anything graphically demanding. This gaming PC would be great if you’re playing more competitive games, for example, like CS: GO or Warzone. For something punchier, we’d say an RTX 5070 Ti PC should be next on your list. They come in at around $1300 and have 12GB more of advanced GDDR7 VRAM, and can handle ray tracing better at 1080p.
