Key features of this Acer Nitro 60 RTX 5060 gaming PC

Intel Core i5-14400F processor

If you’re looking at RTX 5060 or RTX 5060 Ti builds, the Intel Core i5-14400F will sometimes pop up, and it’s one of the best processors without spending too much. What you’ve got here is 10 cores and 16 threads, which is actually a higher core count than even some of your mid-range options, and lends this processor well to productivity, creative, and relatively heavy multitasking. For streaming or running background applications, it’s a quality choice that doesn’t completely break the bank. It features a 20MB Intel Smart Cache and a decent boost clock speed of 4.7GHz, both of which are very much in line with the RTX 5060’s capabilities, and will help push high framerates at FHD and even QHD. Notably, this CPU is incredibly efficient, coming in with a 65W TDP, which means it doesn’t need a huge cooling solution. It’s no surprise that for more compact builds, like this one, it’s ideal.

RAM and storage

Not every RTX 5060 prebuilds ops for DDR5, so it’s always a win when you see it. This build features 16GB, which is, again, appropriate for the RTX 5060, and the main usage of this rig, which is going to likely be high refresh rate FHD gaming, and not blasting open-world games at ultra settings with ray tracing, which would be better off with more RAM to help keep everything running smoothly. 16GB is still going to have a pronounced effect on overall system responsiveness and help keep everything feel snappy, though. If you’re doing some light creative work using applications like Adobe Premiere Pro, this amount of RAM is going to certianly help optimize your experience and workflows. On the storage front, you’ve got a 1TB SSD. Nothing to start breaking out the trumpets over, but still a good amount for most people, and not too expensive, either.

RTX 5060 graphics card

One of the best graphics cards you can get if you want to keep your prebuild budget around the $1,000 mark. As you no doubt know, this is built on Nvidia’s Blackwell Architecture, so you’re getting some of the most recent technology and features. This is what gives it the edge over the previous-gen, and some of AMD’s impressive alternatives, like the RX 9060 XT, for example. With the RTX 5060, you’ve got 4th-gen ray tracing cores, 5th-gen tensor cores, MFG, and GDDR7 VRAM, plus 9th-gen Nvidia Encoders and Nvidia Broadcast, both of which are excellent for creatives. While this card can be used for 1440p, especially with MFG, it shines at 1080p at high fps, making it a quality card for esports and competitive play.

Things to consider

If you want better FHD and QHD performance, I’d recommend checking out some of the RTX 5060 Ti prebuilds on the market, many of which come in at around $1,200. These have higher CUDA core counts and slightly higher power draw, which makes them a better option if you want something to handle higher texture loads. In short, if you want something for more than just high fps, competitive gaming, then the RTX 5060 Ti is your best bet, and won’t completely break the bank.
