Cooler Master TD5 Pro – AMD RYZEN 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz (5.2 GHz Turbo)
What we like about this Cooler Master TD5 Pro
Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor
The 9800X3D is one of the best gaming CPUs on the market, and we think, the best CPU for the RTX 5080 itself. It has 8 cores, 16 threads, a high boost clock speed of 5.2GHz, and a huge 96MB L3 cache. Its L3 cache in particular makes this processor excellent for reducing frame latency and ensuring data can be accessed incredibly quickly when gaming. If you’re looking for something that can handle gaming at much higher fps, then this is the processor for you, and a preferable choice over some of the Intel Core Ultra alternatives, in our view.
RTX 5080 graphics card
An incredible card for both high fps 1440p at ultra settings with ray tracing, and 4K gaming. Built on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture, this GPU boasts 10,752 CUDA cores, 16GB of next-gen GDDR7 VRAM, a 256-bit bus, and 2295/2617 MHz boost clock. You’ve also got the latest DLSS 4 and MFG technology, which can transform gaming performance by drastically increasing fps and ensuring it’s super smooth while doing so, too. It’s also a great card for creative professionals, too, and would be able to handle heavy-duty tasks like 3D modeling or high-resolution video editing easily.
Large SSD and more than enough RAM
You’ve got a 2TB NVMe SSD here, which is a Gen4 option. That’s more than enough room for a large gaming library, plus enough space left over for other files, too. Gen4 SSDs are still fast enough to speed up boot and loading times, too. For the RAM, this build goes for 32GB, which is more than enough for running loads of applications at once, or playing games with huge asset libraries, like simulators, open-world titles, or heavily modded games. It’s DDR5 RAM, too, and comes in at 6000MHz, which is up there with some of the fastest you can buy.
Advanced cooling
This PC features an impressive AIO liquid cooler by Cooler Master itself. It has its new dual-chamber Gen S pump, which essentially boosts pressure and water flow for superior heat transfer. It’s also more on the minimal side, in terms of design, which we’re big fans of. And speaking of fans, you’ve got triple fans with this build, which are all aRGB, too.
Who should get this deal?
If you’re looking for something to use primarily for gaming in 4K or 1440p at ultra settings, this would be an excellent choice, especially for the price. Coming in at $2,599.99, this is bang in the middle when it comes to RTX 5080 gaming PC pricing, but it’s absolutely worth its original price tag if you ask us. Cooler Master gaming PCs are packed with a lot of its own products, and they are very high-quality, and can command a higher price, much in the same way Corsair or Alienware can. We’d say it’s a cracking deal, that gives you high-end build quality and gaming performance for a great price.
How will this PC perform?
Using our RTX 5080 review, we can give you an idea of what to expect when gaming at ultra settings in some popular, demanding titles. With Cyberpunk 2077, the 5080 got 151fps at 1440p and 68fps with ray tracing. At 4K, it got 72fps and 35fps with ray tracing. This is pure rasterization, so obviously this jumps up a lot when you use DLSS and MFG. For reference, with a less demanding, but still visually impressive title like Doom Eternal, this card was able to get 426fps at 1440p, 295fps with ray tracing, and 265fps at 4K, and 191fps with ray tracing. Overall, expect this card to handle pretty much anything you can throw at it at ultra settings.
