Acer Nitro V Gaming Laptop – NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060
Key features of this Acer Nitro V Gaming Laptop
RTX 5060 mobile and Intel Core i9-13900H processor
The RTX 5060 mobile is a very good choice for FHD gaming at high framerates, and can handle AAA games at high settings very well, especially with a boost from Nvidia’s new multi-frame generation technology. It has a decent 8GB of VRAM, which is the faster GDDR7 variety, and boast 4th-gen ray tracing cores and 5th-gen ray tracing cores for improved performance in their respective areas. For creatives, it’s a good card for light to moderate workloads, such as FHD video editing for example, but may struggle with more demanding tasks like 3D rendering. The processor is a is from Intel’s 13th-gen lineup, but it still packs a punch for multitasking, gaming performance, and more. It has 14 cores, 20 threads, a boost clock speed of 5.4GHz and a large 24MB L3 cache, making it one of the more powerful laptop processors you can get, despite being a couple generations older.
15.6″ display
This screen is on the smaller side, which is great for keeping this laptop more portable, but also makes the most out of its FHD resolution. Its refresh rate comes in at 165Hz, which is excellent for fast-paced, high fps gaming, and it’s also has 300 nits of brightness for clear visability in well-lit environments.
Storage and RAM
There’s 16GB of DDR4 RAM in this build, which is not bad, but obviously not as good as the same amount of DDR5. That being said, for the target usage of this laptop, which is FHD gaming and lighter creative workloads, this is more than enough to keep things running smoothly. It goes for a smaller 1TB SSD, too, which is more than enough fro most people. This can hold a handful of large AAA games, but may fill up quickly if you’ve got a moderatively large gaming library.

Things to consider
This is a decent price for an RTX 5060 laptop with a top-end, but older, processor, in all fairness, but there are some alternatives that may be more up your street. For instance, some of the RTX 5060 Alienware laptops are around this price when discounted, and they have higher resolution WQXGA screens, and they have some pretty premium finishing, too. There’s also MSI, which tend to have quite impressive, but more recently released CPUs, many of which are from the new Core Ultra lineup.
