Early Prime Day deals are in full swing, and this is the perfect time to grab a new gaming PC for less, unless you want to wait for the main Prime Day Deals day, which will be in October. Everything from SSDs to graphics cards and gaming PCs is on discount, and if you were in the market for the latter, check out the Skytech Crystal gaming PC.
This is an extremely pocket-friendly gaming PC that features the Intel Core i5-14400F and the RTX 5050. They aren’t the most powerful components out there, but they should get the job done when it comes to everyday tasks and 1080p gaming. Also, considering that it costs less than $850, with a discount price tag of $829.99, we think this is ideal for price-conscious buyers.
Skytech Gaming Crystal (14400F, 5050)
- It has a very affordable price tag
- Great for everyday work and casual gaming
- It isn’t made for heavy multi-tasking
- The RTX 5050 has only 8GB GDDR6 VRAM
What made this gaming PC stand out for us
What we liked about this gaming PC is how affordable it is, and despite that, it has excellent aesthetics. It has a dual-chamber PC case and gives a complete view of the internal components from the front, side, and top. The Intel Core i5-14400F is powering the various operations of the PC, and it is an entry-level processor with 10 cores and 16 threads.
It should deliver a good gaming and multitasking performance, and since it has a maximum TDP of 148W, it should be very energy efficient and produce less heat, making it easier to cool as well. On the other side, we have the RTX 5050, which has 2560 CUDA cores based on the Blackwell architecture, but it doesn’t feature the new GDDR7 memory.
It only has 8GB VRAM to work with, and given its limitation, it’ll be better to stick with 1080p or 1440p but leverage DLSS 4 and MFG so you have a stable and smooth gaming experience. For heavy workflows like 3D rendering, it won’t have the best performance, and we won’t recommend it for that.

When it comes to the RAM and storage, it has 16GB DDR5 RAM, which should be enough to provide good efficiency across the board, and 1TB SSD. This should allow for quick access and boot times, but it would be better to upgrade it to a higher-capacity drive. So, for the price point it is coming at, we think this is a good option as long as the expectations are managed.
Is this a good deal?
This isn’t the most powerful gaming PC, and during intense workflows, the limitations of the hardware might showcase themselves; however, for the price point, it is a great option. It should be great for 1080p gaming and everyday work that doesn’t require a lot of firepower. The one advantage in gaming you’ll have with this PC is that you can leverage DLSS 4 and MFG to increase the gaming output.
That being said, the other hardware is also decent, but we recommend grabbing a high-capacity SSD during this sale because 1TB, generally, isn’t a lot nowadays, depending on the type of games you play and your work. Besides that, it comes with a gaming mouse and keyboard, which should set you up nicely to start gaming and working right out of the box.
