There’s a load of excellent TV deals running right now on Amazon, especially on some of the larger sets from leading brands.
This Sony TV was just spotted with a massive 33% off in a limited time deal, bringing its price down from $1,799.99 to $1,198.00, which is over $600 off. That’s the perfect amount of savings to re-invest into a quality surround sound setup, or sound bar.
Here’s everything you need to know and who we think this TV would be best for.
Sony 75 Inch 4K Ultra HD TV X90L Series
What you need to know about this TV
- 120hz refresh rate: This has a high refresh rate that makes it work well with consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X, allowing you to game in up to 120 frames per second. That’s excellent if you want to get the most out of the consoles.
- VRR and ALLM: Variable refresh rate and auto low latency mode are both must haves when it comes to gaming. VRR will help reduce screen tearing, and ALLM will automatically reduce latency when gaming, making for a more responsive experience.
- Full array LED: This is an LED technology that sits behind the whole screen, allowing for more precise control of ‘zones’. Basically what that means is that these ‘zones’ can be brightened, dimmed, or enhanced. What that means is that this TV can brighten one area, and dim another area nearby – resulting in much better contrast, and an overall more realistic feel. In short – it’s good, and better than edge-lit LED TVs by a very long way.
- 75-inches: This is one of the best sizes for home cinema experiences, and a must if you’re looking to experience the ultimate movie nights at home.
Is this TV for you?
So this is what I’d say is a more of a mid-range option from Sony that offers a lot for the new price-point. It’s not OLED, which keeps the price down, but it does have some interesting features for PS5 which are often found in higher-end TVs, so that’s a win there. In terms of picture quality, the full array LED tech is a big step up from your more traditional edge-lit LED TVs, which can make pictures looked washed out. Thanks to be able to adjust different zones on the TV itself, images should look excellent – all without having to shell out over $2000 for a similar sized OLED option.
I’d say if you’re sticking to a budget of under $1200 and want something massive, then this is a good set for you – especially if you want to stick to the leading brands on the market.
