Excellent 1080p 200Hz AOC monitor is a budget gamer’s dream in new deal
Table of Contents
For gamers on the tightest of budgets, price is key, and a full 1080p monitor with a big 200Hz refresh rate may feel a stretch. However, AOC’s 27G4H is a 27-inch IPS display that has fallen to a new low. Having previously been pitched at a list price of $143, it’s now $120, a 16% reduction for a saving of $23.
That’s not a huge saving, but when you’re looking to buy a more cost-conscious monitor, it all adds up. Furthermore, a 200Hz monitor that can easily keep up with high frame rates when maxing out 1080p in gaming is great. Esports titles would be perfect for the 27G4H, just as the price would be ideal for a budget build or second screen.

Why We like the AOC 27G4H 27-inch Gaming Monitor
Rapid refresh rate
If you’re easily maxing out the settings for Full HD 1080p gaming, a monitor that can handle 200Hz gives you the option to support super-fast frame rates. This is ideal for eSports, where every frame matters, but it’s also handy to have a second screen that you can call on if you need a dual-screen gaming setup where 1440p isn’t necessary.
Wide viewing space
A 27-inch monitor is a standard size, but picking one up for just above $100 is a win. Why? Because of the larger viewing space that such screens provide. Whether you’re gaming, editing, carrying out office tasks, or viewing content, a 27-inch display provides a comfortable viewing experience.
Ergonomically designed
Budget-focused monitors can lack ergonomic considerations, but not here. The AOC 27G4H is VESA mountable and is height, tilt, and swivel adjustable. Many of the best 27-inch monitors offer these as standard, so it’s great to see comfort being a major factor at this price. Move the monitor to where you need it, and enjoy the fast frames!

What to consider before you buy
This monitor has fallen even further in price than the history (above suggests). That shows the quality of this deal, but it’s worth considering what your needs are. If you want to be able to game in smooth 1440p, this monitor won’t support it. And if you’re looking for a more feature-filled monitor, with something like an HDR rating, then it’s worth considering your budget. But for what it is, this punchy and rapid monitor deal gets a thumbs up.
